Georgia Horsley

Level 3 Dip Dental Nursing 2018

Georgia began her dental career in 2017 as an apprentice dental nurse at a mixed NHS and private practice located at Oxford Brookes University. During her training, she worked closely alongside specialist clinicians in periodontics, endodontics and prosthodontics, assisting chairside with implant placement, oral surgery and a wide range of complex treatments. This experience provided her with a clinical foundation and reinforced her commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. In early 2021, Georgia joined a private orthodontic practice in Oxford as a qualified dental nurse. She progressed to the role of Head Dental Nurse, where she developed orthodontic knowledge and leadership skills while working as part of an experienced team. She later returned to her original practice to take on the role of Practice Manager for 16 months. Although she enjoyed the management aspects of the position, it reinforced that her true passion lies in working chairside and building relationships with patients. This led her back to orthodontics, where her enthusiasm for the specialty continued to grow. In early 2025, Georgia joined Portman Smile Clinic Bicester, where her passion for orthodontics and patient care has continued to flourish. With the support of her colleagues, she achieved qualifications in Orthodontic Nursing and Dental Radiography. She is currently the practice's Trainee Orthodontic Therapist, bringing her one step closer to her goal of becoming a qualified Orthodontic Therapist. She looks forward to continuing to develop her skills while supporting patients throughout their orthodontic treatment. Outside of work, Georgia is a keen film and music enthusiast. She enjoys attending concerts and live music events and spending time with her partner, family and friends.
